Kurt Angle returned from neck surgery to reclaim the WWE Championship at Vengeance 2003. Shortly after, Brock Lesnar formed an unlikely alliance with Vince McMahon and challenged Kurt Angle to a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 2003.
In a WrestleMania rematch, "The Olympic Hero" wanted to slay "The Beast" one on one and retain the WWE Championship at any and all costs.
In another great technical wrestling match, Kurt Angle had to escape an F5 and Vince McMahon's interference to defeat Brock Lesnar.
"The Olympic Gold Medalist" took Brock Lesnar to his limit by making "The Beast" submit to the Ankle Lock right in front of Vince McMahon and retain the WWE Championship.
Match rating: 4.25
