The latest chapter in the Bloodline storyline was the Tribal Combat between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa on the RAW premiere on Netflix. The OTC stood tall and claimed victory, settling the rivalry with his former Enforcer, at least for the time being.
As Solo Sikoa is expected to address his loss this Friday on SmackDown, we take a look at four signs that the Bloodline storyline may be over in WWE.
#4. The Rock turned babyface
Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE
The Rock kicked off the RAW premiere on Netflix and appeared to have a face turn, praising Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. He was also the one who crowned Reigns the Undisputed Tribal Chief and acknowledged him.
At the same time, even if his face turn is a work, he could come after The American Nightmare, aiming to dethrone him, and not The OTC, meaning that he wouldn't get involved in the Bloodline storyline.
#3. Bronson Reed and Tonga Loa are out long-term with injuries
The New Bloodline had to deal with a couple of upsets after the WarGames match against The OG Bloodline at Survivor Series, as Bronson Reed and Tonga Loa were ruled out long-term with injuries.
As it is still unclear when they will be back, they are no longer considered a threat, leaving The New Bloodline with just three members (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga). Without reinforcements, though, it is more likely that fans will see The New Bloodline becoming part of the tag team division than resuming The Bloodline storyline.
#2. Solo Sikoa promised he and the rest of the new Bloodline members would acknowledge Roman Reigns if he loses
Solo Sikoa was very confident that he would defeat Roman Reigns and would become the Undisputed Tribal Chief. He even added a stipulation to the match, saying that should he lose, he and the rest of The New Bloodline would acknowledge Roman Reigns as the Undisputed Tribal Chief, eventually putting an end to the civil war.
On the other hand, Solo had told Paul Heyman that if he had survived the Tribal Combat, then the WWE Hall of Famer would join The New Bloodline. With that in mind, the question is whether Solo and Co. will keep their promise and acknowledge Roman Reigns this Friday night on SmackDown.
#1. Roman Reigns regained the Ula Fala
That was what they competed for, as the winner of the Tribal Combat would claim possession of the Ula Fala and would become the Undisputed Tribal Chief. The OTC was the one to win the match and eventually put an end to The Bloodline saga, five months after his WWE return.
Ahead of his Acknowledgement Ceremony on January 27, the former Universal Champion is preparing for his next storyline. The expectation is that he will declare for the Royal Rumble, aiming to get a title shot at WrestleMania 41, while a feud with Drew McIntyre is also a likely scenario since The Scottish Warrior has targeted The OG Bloodline upon his return and has unfinished business with Roman Reigns.
