Stephanie McMahon started working in WWE when she was only 12 years old. Over the next few decades, The Billion Dollar Princess held several executive positions, including Director of Creative Writing, Chief Branding Officer, and Executive Vice President of Creative.

In 2022, The 48-year-old became the Stamford-based company's Chairwoman and Co-CEO following the initial retirement of her father Vince McMahon. Nevertheless, Stephanie resigned after her dad's return as Executive Chairman in January 2023.

Earlier this year, Stephanie's husband and the company's Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked about his wife's current status. He claimed she had no official role. However, a few signs suggest that The Billion Dollar Princess may have secretly returned to WWE.

Check out the signs below:

#4. Stephanie McMahon recently broke her social media silence to confirm WrestleMania attendance

Two days after posting her resignation statement on social media, Stephanie McMahon revealed in another post that she had had surgery. The Billion Dollar Princess then went on a 21-month social media silence.

That silence was only broken last October when she posted a WrestleMania 41 teaser. In the caption, the 48-year-old confirmed her attendance of the premium live event, sending a message to her husband, telling him she was ready:

"I'm ready, @tripleh! Can’t wait to be back in Vegas for The showcase of The Immortals #WrestleMania 41 on April 19 and 20!" she wrote.

Stephanie kicked off Night Two of WrestleMania this year. It would be interesting to see if she will do the same next year and whether her social media comeback is a sign of a secret WWE return.

#3. Kevin Owens addressing Stephanie McMahon among WWE executives

At Bad Blood, Kevin Owens turned on Cody Rhodes. Triple H handled the issue by banning The Prizefighter from appearing on SmackDown until further notice.

Owens then took to X (fka Twitter) to protest against the decision as he claimed Randy Orton betrayed him by taking Rhodes' side. The Prizefighter interestingly tagged Stephanie McMahon alongside Triple H, WWE, TKO, and Orton in his post. The 40-year-old tagging the former chairwoman certainly raised questions about her role in the company. Since then, Owens has tagged The Billion Dollar Princess in every post related to the ongoing storyline.

The former Universal Champion addressing Stephanie among the company's executives is definitely a strong sign that she might have secretly returned to the promotion.

#2. Stephanie McMahon was spotted next to Triple H in CM Punk's behind-the-scenes return video

CM Punk returned to the Stamford-based company after almost a decade of absence in November 2023. WWE recently released the behind-the-scenes footage of The Best in the World's comeback at Survivor Series: WarGames last year. Some eagle-eyed fans also spotted Stephanie McMahon in the video.

The Billion Dollar Princess was seen sitting next to Triple H in Gorilla in front of the monitors as The Game supervised the show. She greeted Punk before he went out and after he returned backstage.

Stephanie's presence in the Gorilla during a major event like Survivor Series: WarGames could certainly be an indication that she could be playing a role backstage.

#1. Stephanie McMahon attended several WWE shows in 2024

Despite being spotted at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023, Stephanie McMahon did not officially return to WWE TV until last April when she attended the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony. After kicking off Night Two of WrestleMania 40, The Billion Dollar Princess had a first-row seat in multiple shows, weekly and monthly.

A recent report from PW Insider also claimed the former chairwoman has recently been spending time at the WWE HQ. Being around so much is certainly a sign that Stephanie has secretly returned to the Stamford-based company even if unofficially.

However, all this is mere speculation at the moment, we will have to wait and see if Stephanie makes an on-screen return or announces her comeback in the near future.
