#4 WWE's confusing policy on blood
While wrestlers bleeding during matches was commonplace during the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era, things are different now. In fact, blading - where wrestlers cut themselves with a concealed blade - has been banned since quite a while, and seeing the wrestlers bleed has become a rare sight.
There have been many instances where the Superstars have been inadvertently busting open by a mishap, and then there is the case of Brock Lesnar, making Randy Orton and Roman Reigns bleed the hard way with elbow strikes. So it is safe to say that it is not really clear to the fans where WWE stands on the issue. Sometimes, even when a wrestler is very noticeably cut open, the commentators deliberately fail to mention blood on the air. This issue especially came to light a couple of years ago when it was leaked that commentators have been asked to ignore any blood and not call it.
But WWE does relax this rule once in a while, especially on PPVs. This was true today too, as Cole immediately pointed out that AJ Styles had been busted open during his match against Samoa Joe and was 'dripping blood' from his mouth. This was not another botch of the rules by Cole, as Corey Graves mentioned the same a few minutes later. In fact, the video WWE have uploaded on their YouTube channel is in black and white to censor the blood!
