Vince McMahon and the whole family came out on Raw this week and addressed the audience, openly admitting that they screwed up and there is going to be a complete shakedown that is going to happen in WWE.
Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.
Completely new things were promised as well with Triple H coming out and saying that now what the audience wants is what's going to happen, or in his words 'We are not the Authority any more, you are'.
Such a change could mean a new lease of life for many wrestlers as they might get a chance and it might also mean some fan favorites getting a push which earlier just didn't seem possible.
With that in mind I jotted down a few wrestlers who could benefit from this shakedown, let's go through them.
#1 Finn Balor(Demon King)
When you talk about listening to fans then you have to listen to them chanting Balor's name every time anywhere he makes an appearance.
He is one of the most over wrestlers in WWE right now and it's hard to explain why someone like him just doesn't get the main event push.
He's great in the ring, pretty good with the mic in his hand and probably got one of the best gimmicks with his alter ego the Demon King.
And something that maybe he might have been dinged for earlier, he's not that injury prone either.
He ticks all the boxes and more importantly, fans adore him, everyone saw the reception Asuka got when she won the SmackDown women's title, Balor could gather the same if not more support from the fans.
If the WWE management is serious about "listening to the fans" then Balor would surely be looking at better times compared to the woeful 2018 he had to go through.
#2 Shinsuke Nakamura
It's been a horror year for Shinsuke Nakamura. It promised so much when he won the Royal Rumble and challenged AJ Styles for the title at WrestleMania.
It almost got better when after his loss against Styles he suddenly turned heel and was reborn in a completely new avatar which was edgier different and something that brought a reaction out of the audiences.
But then everything went south. He lost comprehensively to Styles and as a rebound won the US title. Subsequently, in the following days/weeks/months (it has been that long), Nakamura has been basically absent from live television.
He hasn't defended his title, he hasn't been involved in any feuds, he's been on and off most of the time.
Nakamura in his own right is a proven star and it is more a fault of the creative team than anything else that he's going through this rut.
He got over as both a heel and a babyface. What the audience wants is more of him rather than the sporadic appearances that he makes.
WWE management could be looking at that and maybe that is the reason why Nakamura will finally be involved in a feud with Rusev.
#3 Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is another wrestler who has shown how talented he is, he's proven himself to be an amazing heel be it as a badass (as at the beginning of his tenure in WWE) or as cowardly heel (in the latter stages).
There's so much more that the WWE could do with him and they were able to do that when he had joined hands with Chris Jericho and slowly climbed the ladder to become the WWE champion. In many ways that have been the highlight of his career until now.
Before Kevin Owens got injured he was jumped from brands, moved around and in the end was turned into fodder for Braun Strowman's Powerslams which served no benefit to anyone involved.
When he comes back WWE could book him better because Owens really brings out a reaction out of the audience which not many in the locker room are able to do.
#4 Becky Lynch
As mentioned in one of my previous posts it is highly speculated that the three leading ladies of the women's division Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair are going to headline WrestleMania.
There is a lot riding on this match right now because in so many ways the winner would prove to be the face of the division and it would put the other two women in the shade.
Currently, as a performer there's nothing to pick between Becky and Charlotte and Ronda on her part is amazing in terms of her mass appeal.
But there's one key difference between the three of them. Becky's crowd support is just humongous right now and she truly is "The Man" of the division.
At the same time Charlotte and Ronda have been WWE's poster women which makes it tough to predict which way WWE will swerve but one thing is for sure, Becky Lynch standing tall with the title at the grandest stage of them all could be the highlight of the year and something which would be almost incomparable to the ovations either of the other two women would get if they win.
