During his prime in the WWE, as Razor Ramon, Scott Hall was one of the biggest superstars in wrestling. He won the Intercontinental Championship four times and had an incredible ladder match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 10.

Hall left the WWE for WCW in 1996 and had an amazing start with the NWO. Unfortunately, Hall began to struggle with alcohol and drug issues afterwards and he even worked this into a gimmick in WCW in 1998. He also suffered from PTSD because of an altercation that occurred outside that resulted in Hall shooting and killing a man in self-defense. All of this can be read about in this brilliant article written by Jim Ross.

When WCW went out of business, the WWE brought Hall in for a run with the NWO. This run didn't last long because of Hall's refusal to get help for his problems, despite WWE warning his multiple times. He wasn't performing to the WWE's standards, and they simply had no use for him. WWE makes efforts to help their talents that suffer from problems but you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. Thankfully, Hall cleaned up his act and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.
