At the show, WWE was to unify the WWE Championship and the World Championship and so they had a 4 man tournament. The 4 men were Austin, Rock, Jericho, and Kurt Angle. In the first match, the WWE Champion Steve Austin retain his belt against Kurt Angle. After that, Chris Jericho defeated The Rock to win the World Championship, with a little help from Vince McMahon. Then in the main event, after all kinds of chaos, Jericho finally pinned Steve Austin to become the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion.
Beating either of these men at any time in their careers is impressive, but beating them in their prime and in the same night is something that will never be forgotten.
