During the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, it was announced that AJ Styles will finally be making his WWE return on next week's show in Nashville, Tennessee.
Styles was last seen in action at the Clash at the Castle premium live event a few months ago, where he faced Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in an "I Quit" Match.
Here are four things AJ Styles could do upon his return to WWE SmackDown next Friday.

#4. Turn babyface
AJ Styles has accomplished everything there is to achieve in the wrestling business. At 47, there may only be a few years left before he eventually hangs up his boots.
He could deliver an emotional promo upon his return next week, reflecting on his legendary career and how he plans to close out his decorated journey. This heartfelt speech could lead to Styles turning babyface in the process, instantly making him a crowd favorite once again.
#3. Re-ignite rivalry with LA Knight
AJ Styles was involved in a massive rivalry with LA Knight at the beginning of 2024. This feud culminated in a match at WrestleMania XL, where Knight emerged victorious.
Styles could potentially return to reignite his issues with The Megastar, who currently holds the United States Championship. A potential rivalry between the two, this time for the US title, could be intriguing.
With superstars like Carmelo Hayes and Andrade also interested, it will be interesting to see how the title picture evolves if AJ Styles gets involved.
#2. Request Nick Aldis to trade him to WWE RAW
AJ Styles has already faced all the top stars on SmackDown, including Roman Reigns, The Bloodline, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and LA Knight over the past 12 months. He may feel that his run on the show has become stagnant.
He could confront SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and request a trade to Monday Night RAW, proposing that Aldis make a deal with Adam Pearce. A change in scenery might be just what Styles needs at this point in his career.
Styles could be traded with someone of the caliber of Drew McIntyre or CM Punk, who might get lost in the shuffle once their feud ends at Bad Blood.
#1. Form a temporary alliance with The Bloodline to get back at Cody Rhodes
AJ Styles was Cody Rhodes' first challenger after the latter became the Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania XL. The American Nightmare was pushed to his limits at Backlash France as Styles showcased why he is still one of the best wrestlers in the world.
Despite a valiant effort, it was Rhodes who successfully retained his title. This was also the case when The American Nightmare emerged victorious in their second encounter at Clash at the Castle. Styles will not have forgotten this and would be willing to do anything upon his return to become a three-time WWE Champion.
Currently, Rhodes is involved in a feud with The Bloodline. He will be teaming up with Roman Reigns to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at Bad Blood. Styles could take advantage of this tense situation to his benefit.
He might return next week on SmackDown and help The Bloodline attack Rhodes. This would not only weaken him for his match at Bad Blood but could also potentially lead to a third match between Rhodes and Styles down the line.
