World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has confirmed that he will be on SmackDown this Friday, just a week before his Crown Jewel Championship match. He will face Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on November 2.

Gunther's arrival to the blue brand will be part of a blockbuster show that will also see RAW star Jey Uso possibly coming to SmackDown to get revenge on Solo Sikoa and Bloodline 2.0, who cost him the Intercontinental Championship on Monday.

That said, we take a look at four things The Ring General can do on SmackDown tonight:

#4. He could reunite with Giovanni Vinci

Back in mid-April, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser kicked out Giovanni Vinci of the Imperium faction following a brutal assault. Vinci went on a long hiatus and made his SmackDown debut on September 6.

As he has no direction at the moment, Giovanni Vinci could attempt to approach Gunther again and reunite with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. Should this happen, The Ring General will get extra protection ahead of his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.

#3. Could collide with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton

Gunther has unfinished business with both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. The Ring General could use Ludwig Kaiser to assault The American Nightmare backstage, with Randy Orton coming to Cody's aid.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis could then schedule a tag team match where Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser would take on Cody Rhodes and Orton.

#2. The champ could call out Goldberg

The Ring General started a feud with WWE legend Goldberg at Bad Blood. He took a shot at the former Universal Champion, who attempted to assault the reigning World Heavyweight Champion before security escorted him out of the ring.

Coming to SmackDown this Friday, the 37-year-old could call out Goldberg and add more fuel to his storyline. The latter will return to WWE for one final match before retiring from wrestling, and this match could be against The Ring General.

However, it is unclear when the two will collide, but it is safe to say that this match will not be for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Ring General was featured on the WrestleMania 41 poster without his championship belt, meaning that it is very likely he will lose the title at some point before The Grandest Stage of Them All. It is also likely that his match with Goldberg will take place at 'Mania 41.

#1. Gunther could engage in a brawl with Cody Rhodes

This is the most likely scenario, given how quiet this feud has been so far. The two megastars will have a face-off on SmackDown, and the expectation is that their promo will end with a brawl.

If this happens, fans could see more superstars get involved, like Kevin Owens, who recently turned on Rhodes, and Damian Priest, who has made it clear that he will go after Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship after Crown Jewel.

The Ring General's appearance on SmackDown will certainly add more hype to his match with Rhodes, which is expected to main event Crown Jewel on November 2.
