4 Things John Cena still has to accomplish in WWE

John Cena is a living legend
John Cena is a living legend

John Cena is someone who does not require any introduction. He is perhaps the biggest superstar to have ever emerged from the sports entertainment industry. He has won dozens of Championships and has defeated several wrestlers across the globe. Cena is a sixteen-time World Champion and has several other accomplishments on his resume.

However, even Cena has some unaccomplished feats in his otherwise flawless career. Those feats appear as blots in his legendary tenure in World Wrestling Entertainment. Even though he wrestles part-time, there are still chances and opportunities for him to rectify those smudges and missed opportunities in his glorious career.

WWE management and the creative team should plan a strategy to cover up all those feats and give Cena the respect he deserves. John Cena does not believe in giving up, and thus he should work hard to conquer his the feats he is yet to accomplish.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#4 Intercontinental Championship

Cena never won the Intercontinental Championship
Cena never won the Intercontinental Championship

Cena has never won the Intercontinental Championship in the WWE. Even though he brought a lot of prestige to the United States Championship Title, he was never booked for the Intercontinental Championship. This is a major mistake on the part of WWE. He could have been an exceptional Intercontinental Champion.

Cena's track record as a Champion is impeccable. He was a fighting Champion and defended his title in some of the most memorable matches ever in WWE. Had he been the Intercontinental Championship, it would have been a major accomplishment in his career. WWE management could still give him one run as the Intercontinental Champion, as that would help him become a Grand Slam Champion as well.

If he becomes the Intercontinental Champion, it could open up several new feuds and rivalries. Cena has the potential to become the best Intercontinental Champion ever. It would certainly be 'best for business'.

#3 Grand Slam Championship

Cena is not a grand slam champion

John Cena has won the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, the Tag Team Championships and the United States Championship. However, he never won the Intercontinental title, and, thus he could not become a Grand Slam Champion. If he wins the Grand Slam recognition, he can arguably be called as the greatest of all times. Given his reputation of being a true fighter, Cena can still become the Intercontinental and the Grand Slam Champion.

Seth Rollins is the current Intercontinental Champion, and, a match between him and Cena would be mind-blowing. Cena has been the best over the past decade, and, Rollins is one of the best wrestlers currently on Monday Night Raw. A match between the duo would be nothing short of a war, and it would certainly be a dream match. WWE should make it happen so that Cena becomes a Grand Slam Champion.

#2 Defeating Undertaker at WrestleMania

When it comes to WrestleMania, the Undertaker has an unparalleled record in the WWE. He has competed twenty-six times at WrestleMania and won twenty-four matches out of them. Only twice he lost at WrestleMania; once to Brock Lesnar and once to Roman Reigns.

Cena challenged the Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 for a one-on-one match last year. It was one of the worst performances ever from John Cena is his career. He could hardly last for three minutes and suffered an embarrassing defeat against Undertaker.

It was poorly booked, and Cena would regret the match forever. WWE could book a proper rivalry between the duo, and plant a rematch at WrestleMania 35. This match could garner high viewership and will be a massive hit among the audience.

The loss at WrestleMania 34 would certainly haunt Cena forever, and, thus he deserves a rematch.

#1 Failing to cash-in Money in the Bank contract

Cena failed to cash in his contract
Cena failed to cash in his contract

John Cena is on the list of those wrestlers who failed to cash in their Money in the Bank contracts successfully. It was a major embarrassment for him, as he had a failed cash-in attempt against CM Punk.

Cena won the contract in 2012. He decided to do something unconventional and intimated CM Punk beforehand about his cashing. This was done to maintain Cena's heroic image in-front of the WWE. However, it cost him the match.

Big Show interfered and caused a disqualification. Cena lost the opportunity to become the World Champion. This indicates that Cena's decision to inform Punk beforehand about the match was not a sensible decision. It was a learning experience for John Cena.

The next time he won the Contract he would use it to win a title, however, the failure to cash-in the title is something that will never change. This is the one blemish that Cena will have to live with forever.

This shows that even a legend of John Cena's stature has several flaws in his career. However, if Cena wants, he can alter those mistakes and prove to the world that he is Champion material and break the record set by Ric Flair of 16-time WWE Champion.
