The latest episode of Monday Night RAW kicked off with Damian Priest and Jey Uso sharing the ring for a segment. The Yeet Master was the first one to arrive and started with a fun promo as always. However, his conversation with the audience was interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

The Archer of Infamy seemed to have the upper hand in a potential brawl with Main Event Jey Uso. However, Priest did not quite have the impact he desired on Jey. Below are four things we learned from Damian Priest and Jey Uso's kick-off segment on WWE RAW.

#4. Damian Priest to lead The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day has always mentioned that they do not have a group leader. However, time and again, Rhea Ripley has always been recognized as the real leader of the fearsome faction. Mami is currently away from WWE due to an injury and won’t be back for some time. In her absence, Damian Priest seems to have assumed the leadership of the group.

Priest has a cold and intimidating gimmick and also has the build to pummel his opponents easily. Moreover, he is the only reigning champion in The Judgment Day. While the current World Heavyweight Champion could use some improvements in his promos, he would be getting plenty of chances to do so till Rhea Ripley returns.

#3. JD McDonagh might be the next Jimmy Uso

Sneak attacks are the oldest, most effective, and easiest trick in the bags of any heel faction in pro wrestling. However, The Judgment Day's JD McDonagh failed to execute a sneak attack on Jey Uso. On top of it, McDonagh accidentally hit Damian Priest instead of Jey, while The Yeet Master slipped out of the ring.

This has not been the first time that The Irish Ace has failed to do something. It won’t be surprising if Priest gives McDonagh the same treatment that Solo Sikoa gave to Jimmy Uso, and punishes and discards him as the weak link of the fearsome faction.

#2. Jey Uso will likely dethrone Damian Priest

Jey Uso has been enjoying a massive singles push since August 2023, when he faced Roman Reigns at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event. After Jimmy Uso was kicked out of The Bloodline a few days ago, many people thought that The Yeet Master would enter tag team action once again. However, his recent climb to the number one contender spot for the World Heavyweight Championship says that he will continue fighting as a singles star.

His interaction with Damian Priest on the latest episode of RAW can be a safe bet for Jey facing Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash in May 2024. Jey Uso is also receiving a lot of love and support from fans. Thus, there is a high chance that The Yeet Master will beat The Judgment Day member for the title.

#1. Finn Balor a no-show on WWE RAW

Finn Balor recently announced that he will continue to wrestle in WWE. The contract of the former Universal Champion was nearing its expiration and many people speculated that he would leave the Stamford-based company, especially after losing the then-Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. However, the Irish star cleared all doubts with a message on X/Twitter.

“I would like to take this moment to say thank you to WWE for 10 incredible years. And after much thought and consideration , I have decided that now is the right time to say ‘I ain’t going nowhere!’"

With Damian Priest now the World Heavyweight Champion, Finn Balor may also look to get back into singles competition once again. While Balor has announced that he will be staying, he did not show up on Monday Night RAW. Perhaps, Finn could have taken care of Jey Uso. However, his tweet says that he may soon make an appearance again.
