WWE is preparing for the premiere of Monday Night RAW on Netflix in a blockbuster move. The first RAW of 2025 will be on January 6. Despite being two and a half months away, reports have surfaced on what fans should expect to see when the red brand moves to the streaming platform.

With that in mind, we take a look at four things that fans need to know before the premiere of RAW on Netflix in early January 2025.

#4. The show will return to 3 hours

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

A couple of weeks ago, WWE decided to reduce the duration of Monday Night RAW from three hours to two hours. This move limited the on-screen time for several superstars, with the creative team focusing on big-time storylines at the moment.

Still, when the red brand moves to Netflix, the show will return to its usual three-hour format, even though the duration of commercials will determine the exact duration.

There is also the expectation that once RAW moves to Netflix, SmackDown will also become a three-hour show.

#3. Michael Cole will return as a commentator

Michael Cole temporarily left the red brand and moved to SmackDown to join Corey Graves as a commentator. This change will last through the final days of 2024, as Cole will return as one of the commentators at the premiere on Netflix.

"I still feel like I have a lot left in me. I just signed a long-term deal with the company, I’ll be doing this for a few more years. I’ll be back on Netflix doing Monday Night Raw in January," Michael Cole said recently. (H/T Fightful).

The expectation is that Pat McAfee will join him, and the duo will reunite. The current commentary team of Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore could move to SmackDown to join Corey Graves.

#2. Roman Reigns could move to RAW

Roman Reigns is in a feud with Solo Sikoa two months after returning to WWE from a four-month hiatus. The Original Tribal Chief started a civil war in The Bloodline, with the rivalry rumored to reach its peak at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Going forward, Reigns is expected to re-ignite his feud with the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and collide with WWE legend The Rock, who made his return at Bad Blood. As Netflix is one of the biggest streaming platforms in the world, a move to RAW is likely for the former Universal Champion, as it would help attract a larger audience.

Nothing is confirmed at the moment, but WWE could ask Reigns to appear on the premiere on Netflix and then move to the red brand permanently.

#1. WWE is hopeful The Rock will show up on Netflix premiere

After a six-month hiatus, the Rock stunned the WWE Universe with his return at Bad Blood. After staring down Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, the Final Boss hinted at who his next targets would be.

It is unclear if The Rock will show up in the remainder of 2024 and whether he will participate in The Bloodline Civil War, but WWE executives are hopeful he will be available for the first episode on Netflix.

If he shows up, he could take the next step in his rivalry with Reigns and Rhodes, which is expected to intensify at the Royal Rumble and the Road to WrestleMania 41.
