Cody and The Young Bucks organized a wrestling event called 'All-in' in 2018, selling 10,000 tickets for the show. The critically acclaimed show’s success had sent shock-waves across the wrestling world. Soon rumors began to float about Cody and Young Bucks starting their own wrestling promotion. Those rumors actually materialized; AEW was born on 1 January 2019.
AEW has been recruiting talent since the announcement of its inception. The money they have offered Superstars has been staggering. High-profile stars including Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega have already signed prolific deals with the new company.
The current WWE roster has also been thrilled by AEW’s pay-scale. Rumors have surfaced about big offers been made to WWE Superstars. From Brock Lesnar to Randy Orton, some of the WWE’s biggest talents have been reportedly open to discussions with AEW.
Mr. McMahon wouldn’t be too excited about losing some of his most popular stars to this new entity in pro-wrestling. Hence, WWE have been thinking about doubling up on contract offers to keep their Superstars from leaving the company. Well, it is safe to state that WWE has been really worried about All Elite Wrestling.
