Triple H took over the creative direction of WWE in 2022 when Vince McMahon retired. However, McMahon's temporary return in 2023 interfered with The Game's vision for the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.

McMahon again retired in January 2024 following a lawsuit from a former WWE employee. Outside of alleged interference from The Rock, who became a member of the board of directors at TKO Group Holdings, The Game's vision has been mostly unhampered for the better part of the last year, and the product has been a huge improvement overall.

Still, not everything is perfect and likely never could be. There are certain areas where Triple H and modern World Wrestling Entertainment can still improve, especially with RAW and SmackDown each week.

This is especially true with both shows set to be around three hours weekly. Improving certain aspects will make each program as good as possible. This article will take a look at four specific improvements they can make to help RAW and SmackDown be the best shows possible in 2025.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

Below are four things Triple H must improve on WWE RAW and SmackDown in 2025.

#4. The tag team division needs to improve, especially on RAW

For a long time, the tag team division suffered under Vince McMahon. The former WWE Chairman was said to dislike tag team wrestling, likely because of the cost associated with paying for extra talent. As a result, the tag team division suffered.

Many hoped that would change once Triple H took over. At times, it has. Sometimes, the WWE tag team scene looks great. However, other times, it has been a mess. RAW, especially, has suffered for a long time. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh were champions for ages but barely ever defended the titles.

In 2025, the tag team scene needs to be improved considerably, specifically on RAW. While SmackDown has numerous teams in the mix and an interesting ongoing storyline, RAW's World Tag Team Title picture has been bland all year. With The War Raiders as champions, Triple H needs to book the division properly.

#3. Triple H needs to make better use of WWE's underutilized performers

Another knock on Vince McMahon was his focus solely on top stars. The undercard rarely had feuds, and many wrestlers were simply interchangeable in WWE. Under Triple H, this has improved tremendously.

There are numerous undercard feuds now and over the past several months, ranging from R-Truth vs. Pete Dunne to The Final Testament vs. The New Day and beyond. With that being said, there are still some WWE stars who are lost in the shuffle, and that needs to change in 2025.

Stars such as Giovanni Vinci, Blair Davenport, The Unholy Union, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, Dragon Lee, and Pretty Deadly all need more stories in 2025. This would help the programs, too, as it would provide more variety with more stars being highlighted. Triple H must give these performers their time to shine.

#2. The women's division needs more long-term and fully developed feuds

WWE's women's division is arguably stronger than it has ever been. There are numerous top stars ranging from Rhea Ripley to Liv Morgan to Bianca Belair, with several others seemingly returning soon, such as Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Additionally, the company has introduced more titles to flesh out and better structure the division. This is a big help, but Triple H and WWE still need to improve one key aspect: there needs to be more long-term storytelling and personal rivalries within the division.

Obviously, you have stories such as the attack on Jade Cargill and the Liv Morgan-Rhea Ripley saga. While those have been highly interesting, there needs to be more. Talent such as IYO SKY, Lyra Valkyria, and others should have these kinds of feuds and stories, which will make the entire division stronger across all shows.

#1. The Game needs to allow for more title changes on television

RAW has three titles dedicated to male stars and two exclusive belts for the brand's women's division. Meanwhile, SmackDown has the exact same for the blue brand. Additionally, the WWE Women's Tag Team Title floats between both shows.

Despite many titles on both brands, title changes on each show are quite rare. This is especially true for singles gold. It has been a long time since any world titles, across either the men's or women's divisions, have changed hands on television. Even mid-card title changes are rare.

While it is understandable to want these big title changes at premium live events, they still need to happen on television. With the introduction of new mid-card titles, Triple H and WWE should make television title changes a bit more frequent in 2025.

A title changing hands every month or so would add a lot of interest to both RAW and SmackDown, as fans would know they can't miss an episode.
