4 things which are wrong with WWE at the moment

With AEW's arrival, WWE has a lot of work to do simply because, after a very long time a promotion has surfaced which looks set to challenge Vince McMahon's company for its throne.

Cody Rhodes' AEW squad has been on a roll and many fans anticipate this clash between AEW and WWE to be an evenly contested one owing to the former's appealing roster. WWE has long been the king of the jungle and it will be a bit outrageous to claim that AEW will overtake them with ease but avid fans of the company will feel that there are some concerns within the company.

There are quite a few things which need to be sorted out such that WWE goes all guns blazing in this war of promotions. Here we list down four things which are wrong with WWE at the moment.

#4 From 24/7 Championship to Wild Card Rule....system lacks stability!

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

While innovation is always welcomed, going too far is something which should be avoided at all costs. WWE enthusiasts have witnessed major changes in the company ever since its inception and the scope of improvement is what drives everyone associated with this mega corporation.

WWE is a dynamic company and the prospect of witnessing something stunning on any given day is what makes the fans tune in every week. With that being said, this is not a casual business as the fans, as well as the Superstars, take this very seriously. Sports entertainment is what WWE promises to deliver and is what they strive for. Yet, sometimes, things go out of hand which in turn affects the business.

WWE fans have always welcomed changes but the board seems to be in an altogether different pace here as they have implied or shall we say introduced way too much new stuff in very little time.

Wild card rule is exciting but the way it is being carried out is something to consider simply because the chaos it brings along is something which disturbs the equilibrium.

As for 24/7 championship, the title is being well received by the fans but it is to think that is the title really doing justice to the word ‘Champion’ in the company.

Championships in WWE are supposed to be a major prize and something which showcases a Superstar’s struggle but the 24/7 title is merely falling in the serious category.

With that being said, the title has received appreciation from the fans which makes us wonder as to what the company might do with it hereon. All will fit incredibly well if some sort of stability is brought into the system.

#3 Less emphasis on storylines

Ever wondered the secret to WWE’s success? Well, intriguing storylines is surely one of them. WWE has been known to deliver fascinating storylines that capture the attention of millions and is what has enabled them to build such a massive fanbase.

From personal storylines to out of the box angles, the creative team has managed to make the WWE folk happy for all these years.

But when we look at the current scene at the company, things seem to be tilting towards the business side a bit more. Apparently, the importance of buildups seems missing, not many enticing storylines can be witnessed these days and above all the amount of time given to a rivalry has been dropping!

With the company's expansion, there have been a lot more PPVs and with the rise of the market in the middle east & more, WWE has sort of shifted their attention to a bit more commercialisation which doesn't sit well with the devoted fan base of the company.

#2 Frequency of part-timers taking the centre stage

Undertaker vs Goldberg turned out to be a disappointing affair

In recent years, the company has given way too much importance to the part-timers. When we say part-timers what we mean is a crop of superstars who aren’t seen in full-time roles and their presence is limited to certain events only. While having a legend return every now and then will never go out of style, it is the frequency which bothers the WWE Universe the most.

WWE has been too dependent over the part-timers that the fans have somehow grown tired of the company’s work module. WWE enthusiasts have put this question on one too many occasions as to why does the company go for part-timers when they have too many incredibly talented performers performing full-time.

The case of Brock Lesnar is the biggest example to portray the dependence of WWE over part-timers. Recently The Undertaker and Goldberg were called back to not only feature but main-event WWE's Super ShowDown. The question here remains that when the company has so many gifted performers in full-time role then why do they give such a great degree of importance to the part-timers?

#1 Less focus on mid-card championships

This has got to be the biggest concern with the company these days! Championships like Intercontinental title, United States title and more were once considered a prized asset and the fans too were keenly involved in the title pictures of the aforementioned championships but off late, there has been little emphasis on the mid-card championships, which is something ardent followers of WWE won’t appreciate.

The world titles are undoubtedly the biggest attractions but when it comes to WWE as a whole then the other titles too hold a great significance in the heritage of this billion-dollar organisation.

It has been quite some time now that we got to witness a major storyline building towards a mid-card championship which is why the company should start focussing on these titles or else the fans will soon start losing interest in these historic titles.

While the United States Championship has finally received some attention, the same should also happen with the other titles as well.
