On television, WWE has been pushing the idea that Stephanie McMahon pretty much invented what's now known as the Women's Evolution, and that she was one of the biggest advocates of changing the women from "Divas" to "WWE Superstars." But, with Vince McMahon likely being in the final stages of his career, WWE wants another McMahon to be front and centre, and Stephanie is the perfect person for that. However, that doesn't mean she's responsible for anything that happens on television, as she's, to the best of my knowledge, not involved in the company's creative process.
In WWE's defence, it probably is better to have Stephanie McMahon be the front-woman of the Women's Evolution than it is to have someone like Triple H be the face of it, even though he's more responsible for it than his wife is.
