A majority of the WWE fans only watch Raw or SmackDown, but those who watch NXT knows how a 5-star match changes the whole scenario in the company.

This year alone the NXT produced many 5 star classic matches, and this is why the fans love to see the show. If the WWE did the same with the WWE Championship then without a doubt, it would again become the top gold.
In 2011, when CM Punk faced John Cena for the WWE Title in Money In The Bank's main event, the match received a 5-star rating from Dave Meltzer.
But now, even after many years, the WWE hasn't provided another 5-star match with the WWE Championship. It seems like the WWE don't want to take the risk with their champions, and the 5-star match is still far away from reality.
