Brock Lesnar shocked the world when he entered the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match at the very last moment and won the contract after just seconds of work.
The WWE Universe was absolutely furious that Lesnar got to win it when the other Superstars bruised and battered themselves for the entirety of the match. Since then, the briefcase has been with Lesnar, and while he tried to cash it in at Saudi Arabia, he was destroyed by Seth Rollins before he could do it.
A week before that incident, he dismantled the Architect but didn’t cash in the contract, a decision that he might go on to regret later. In the last episode of RAW, Paul Heyman announced that Lesnar would cash in at Extreme Rules, but also added that it could be against Seth Rollins or Kofi Kingston, opening a door of possibilities.
As a result, here are the 4 ways WWE can use Brock Lesnar at the PPV…
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#4 Failed cash-in against Rollins
We start off with the unlikeliest of the four options. The last two cash ins were failures as both Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman weren’t able to come out with a championship around their waists at the end of it.
WWE could go down the same path with Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, even though it is not likely that they would let a big name like him fail with a cash-in. However, there is an angle that they could play here to make it look convincing.
Since Seth Rollins will be teaming up with Becky Lynch, Lesnar could come out to claim the title after the duo win their match against Corbin and Evans. As Lesnar is about to pin Rollins for the Universal Title, Lynch could come to his assist by wielding a chair and taking out Lesnar with repeated shots.
If not this angle, there are several more ways for The Man to interfere and save her man.
#3 Cash-in against Kingston
Kofi Kingston has had a solid reign as WWE Champion ever since he won the title off Daniel Bryan and WrestleMania 35. He had been unbeaten as WWE Champion until Samoa Joe put him to sleep with a Coquina Clutch almost two weeks ago.
A week after that, Paul Heyman announced that Lesnar would cash in at Extreme Rules, only this time, he mentioned the name of Kofi Kingston. Could it be that after weeks of feuding against Rollins for the Universal Title and almost getting his hands on it again, Lesnar turns his attention towards the WWE Title?
It would certainly make sense because, after all, Lesnar is a heel and winning the title from a babyface Kingston will only put more heat on him. Also, since SmackDown is set to move to FOX from October – who have also advertised Lesnar as a part of the show – WWE could put the SmackDown exclusive title on the Beast (even though brand split might not be a thing anymore).
#2 Cash-in against Samoa Joe
This would be a very interesting possibility. Samoa Joe is perhaps the best heel in the company. His title claims against Kingston look the most legitimate when compared to those of Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.
Since Kingston has already gone to sleep at the hands of Joe, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Samoan Submission Machine win at Extreme Rules against the New Day member and earn his first ever WWE Championship.
After that, Lesnar’s music could hit and then he could cash in on Joe to begin a potentially world-class feud that would reach its boiling point at SummerSlam. We have to remember that these two have locked horns in the past, where Samoa Joe put out some incredible performances against the former UFC Champion.
So having them face each other with Joe coming out the winner at the end of the feud would be incredible to see.
#1 Help from Ronda to cash-in against Rollins
You know what would be more incredible than the events of the earlier slide happening? Ronda Rousey teaming up with Brock Lesnar and helping the Beast take the Universal Title off Rollins.
Remember, Rollins will be accompanied by Becky Lynch, and should Lesnar attempt to cash in and take the belt from Rollins, the Irishwoman is almost certain to interfere and scupper the plans of the Beast.
And since he can’t lay his hands on Lynch, he would have to bring his own woman partner to take care of The Man – and who better than Ronda Rousey for that? It makes sense on many levels.
For starters, both Lesnar and Rousey are former UFC Champions and secondly, Rousey has been off TV since Lynch beat her and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. So not only will she be getting her revenge on Lynch by stopping her from saving her boyfriend, we would also see a nice UFC power team in WWE in the process.
