It's not uncommon to see relatives in wrestling, especially in WWE. Some have turned the sport into an outright family legacy business, but some have been unable to fill the shoes left by their kin.

Pursuing a wrestling career with a legendary well-known last name is a pressure and challenge that not everybody goes through. However, stars like Charlotte Flair, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Dominik Mysterio, and more have managed quite well for themselves. Unfortunately, there are also some names who were unable to get past this challenge.

For this list, we will look at four wrestlers who never became as famous as their fathers in WWE:

#4. Ava did not have a strong start in WWE

Many grew excited when it was announced that The Rock's eldest daughter Simone Johnson began training at the Performance Center in 2020. After two years, she finally debuted in NXT as a member of Schism. However, that didn't last long.

The NXT star only had a few matches before she began reporting as the black and silver brand's General Manager. Although she is doing well now as an authority figure, she still has a long way to go compared to her father's legacy.

#3. Ted DiBiase Jr.'s WWE run wasn't as memorable as compared to his father's

One of the most unique characters in wrestling was Ted DiBiase, who made being rich an entertaining and memorable heel persona. Still, being The Million Dollar Man's son wasn't enough to get over the business.

Ted DiBiase Jr. signed with the Stamford-based promotion in 2007 and had his big break when he joined Randy Orton's The Legacy group in 2008 with Cody Rhodes. However, nothing truly took off for the star after the stable disbanded. DiBiase Jr. even attempted to portray an arrogant millionaire character as an homage to his father but didn't work out as well. He eventually left the Stamford-based company in 2013.

#2. Tamina Snuka didn't really have a big break

One of the stars who should have had a dominant career was Tamina Snuka. She is the daughter of the legendary Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and can do high-flying stunts despite her larger and intimidating build. Tamina made her WWE debut with The Usos. However, it seems like the company didn't really give her a chance to shine.

Tamina began pursuing a singles career in 2011 but was later aligned with Naomi, and Sasha Banks to form Team B.A.D. She even served as a bodyguard-like character for stars like Lana, AJ Lee, and more. Snuka was never truly given a moment to shine by herself and her only prominent championship run was a Women's Tag Team Championship reign with Natalya.

#1. Many may not know that Curtis Axel is the son of a WWE legend

Curtis Axel joined WWE in 2007 and rose to fame as a member of The Nexus. After the group, he found a short amount of success as a singles star but was mainly involved with comedic acts like AxelMania, The Social Outcasts, The Miztourage, and The B-Team.

Although he found success in the company by being a former Intercontinental and two-time Tag Team Champion, he didn't leave as strong and serious of a legacy as his father Mr. Perfect aka Curt Hennig.
