WWE currently has a roster filled with several talents from different sports and wrestling companies like TNA, AEW, and more. While some may think they will fail since they came from a rival promotion, several superstars have proven them wrong.

WWE has welcomed different superstars with various backgrounds into their locker rooms. Some may not have a history in professional wrestling but in other sports like MMA, football, amateur wrestling, gymnastics, and much more.

They have also welcomed stars from different wrestling promotions, in recent years, AEW stars have also decided to jump ship to the Stamford-based promotion, which has benefitted them in the long run.

#4. Ethan Page found success in NXT

Ethan Page began his wrestling career in 2006 and became All Elite in 2021. He wrestled there until 2024 when he feuded with the likes of Matt Hardy, Darby Allin, and Sting, and was in a tag team with Scorpio Sky known as Men of the Year. Despite being a well-known star, he never won gold during his time in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Page surprisingly debuted in May 2024 on NXT and won the brand's championship the following month, setting the record for fastest title win after debut. Although he lost the title in October back to Trick Williams, he remains an important part of the roster.


#3. Lexis King is a current champion in NXT

Another former AEW star who found success in WWE's developmental brand is Lexis King. He was All Elite from 2019 until 2023 and in July of the latter year, it was reported that he had a tryout at the Performance Center and was assigned to the Tuesday show in August.

King debuted in September and first match in October. He was placed significantly on the brand and performed well as a heel before turning face in October of last year. In that same month, he began feuding with Charlie Dempsey for the NXT Heritage Cup, which he eventually won in December.


#2. Jade Cargill is the current Women's Tag Team Champion

Jade Cargill was the first pure AEW signing WWE had. The 32-year-old was with AEW from 2020 until 2023, becoming the inaugural AEW TBS Champion, and holds the longest reign with 508 days. Before signing with the Triple H-led company, she also has a record of 60 wins and 2 losses.

She signed in September 2023 and made her official in-ring debut in January last year. She has since teamed up with Bianca Belair and even won the Women's Tag Team Title. However, she is currently out of action after a backstage attack on SmackDown, The EST of WWE is currently paired with Naomi to continue their reign.


#1. Cody Rhodes is the most successful WWE signing

Cody Rhodes is arguably the most successful signing in recent years. After a controversial exit from the Stamford-based company, he reclaimed his name in the independent scene and helped start All Elite Wrestling. In 2022, he returned to WWE and quickly became one of the biggest stars of the company.

The American Nightmare is now a two-time, back-to-back Royal Rumble winner and ended Roman Reigns' 1,316-day reign as Undisputed Champion at WrestleMania XL. However, his road to the top wasn't easy as he fought the likes of Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, and more.
