#1. Hope is true: WWE's plans for John Cena at SummerSlam 2021
John Cena literally disappeared from WWE last year when he "lost" to Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. While the match would have been different if it wasn't for the COVID-19 pandemic, the circumstances made WWE turn their bout into a cinematic match.
John Cena has been busy since then, and in the wrestling world, some positive news has emerged about his return. PWInsider first stated that John Cena's current project would end before WWE hits the road in July:
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
While PW Insider couldn’t confirm talks of John Cena returning to WWE, they did confirm production on the show he’s working on, Peacemaker, ends on July 6, shortly before WWE is set to hit the road again.
To add fuel to the fire, Andrew Zarain of Mat Men podcast strongly hinted at a potential John Cena vs. Roman Reigns main event for SummerSlam 2021.
We hope this is true because it would be a blockbuster main event and a way bigger deal than their forgettable feud from 2017.
