This weekend will mark the return of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event as a TV special on NBC. Four matches have already been announced for the event. However, some more bouts should have been added to the show's card.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2024 will see Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens. Liv Morgan will put the Women's World Title against IYO SKY. Gunther will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Last but not least, Sami Zayn will go one-on-one with Drew McIntyre.

While these matches will surely excite fans, the show's card should have also featured matches from some other promising feuds. In this list, we will look at four WWE rivalries that should have played out at Saturday Night's Main Event.

#4 The Final Testament vs. The Wyatt Sicks deserves a bigger stage

What started with The Miz betraying R-Truth after being influenced by Karrion Kross turned into something more when The Wyatt Sicks was included in the picture. Both groups have been feuding for a while on WWE RAW, and the program has elevated the stars involved. However, their latest match deserved a special stage.

This week's Monday night show saw Karrion Kross' team get the upper hand against Uncle Howdy and crew. However, considering the intensity of the feud, their first major match should have occurred on a more special stage.

#3 Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez's Anything Goes match would have been special at Saturday Night's Main Event

Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez have an interesting history. Although they didn't team up on-screen, they shared a close relationship behind the scenes, especially back in their NXT days. However, Liv Morgan's alliance with Big Mami Cool has changed the dynamics.

Raquel is Liv's current partner, and Rhea is The Miracle Kid's former teammate. This was the main reason and the backstory for Ripley and Rodriguez's Anything Goes match on RAW this week.

The bout was Big Mami Cool's first major singles match since February this year. It was a breath of fresh air for Ripley's fans as she has been battling Morgan for months. The stipulation was also interesting, which could have led to a must-watch showdown at Saturday Night's Main Event.

#2 DIY should have won the WWE Tag Team Championship on a special stage

Several teams from WWE have been turning over a new leaf recently. After The New Day kicked out Big E, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of #DIY won the WWE Tag Team Championship last week on SmackDown against the Motor City Machine Guns using underhanded tactics.

#DIY turning heel is something that some saw coming, but only in a certain way. Many thought that only Ciampa would adopt a villainous character after expressing his frustrations in recent weeks, but not everybody expected Johnny to follow suit.

It would have been nice to see a major title win and heel turn on a prominent stage like Saturday Night's Main Event.

#1 Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight should have had a longer feud

Many are happy to see Shinsuke Nakamura back on television after several months on the sidelines. However, not many liked how LA Knight was immediately dethroned as the United States Champion by the returning star.

Knight and Nakamura would have definitely been an interesting feud if prolonged and built better, as their rivalry en route to Survivor Series felt rushed. A new champion being crowned at Saturday Night's Main Event after a heated feud would have held more significance.
