#1. Kurt Angle
WrestleMania 35 saw Kurt Angle say farewell to wrestling and his in-ring career as he took on Baron Corbin and was defeated by him. While it wasn't the ending that fans were hoping for, Angle's end as an in-ring performer was inevitable.
Whenever he did wrestle after 2017, it was evident that he was only a shell of his former self. Still, nostalgia was what prevented fans from really wanting to see Angle to retire. After all, there were still a few dream matches left.

Sadly, the reality of it all saw many of those matches unfulfilled, but that's just the way things go. Knowing all of this, it's likely that Vince McMahon sat Angle down and told him that WrestleMania 35 would be his farewell match. Out of respect, Angle would have agreed and both he and McMahon know that his days as a competitor in WWE are over.
