WWE delivered some of the most compelling and exciting matches in 2024 alone. Although many are contenders for the Match of the Year award, some fell flat and felt underwhelming.
Some were driven by storylines, like Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, while others were outright brutal, like CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell. AJ Styles vs. Cody Rhodes and IYO SKY vs. Bayley are also some that many consider great matches. Unfortunately, not every match delivered.
For this list, we will look at four WWE matches that failed to deliver in 2024.

#4. Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso at WrestleMania XL
Many matches at WrestleMania XL were match-of-the-year contenders and backed up by solid storylines. The most personal one was arguably between Jimmy and Jey Uso, which may also be considered a dream match. However, many felt let down about it.
The match sequence felt repetitive and lacked a surprise factor. It also didn't help that they were mainly just exchanging superkicks as their offense and defense. From the looks of it, their chemistry is truly stronger as a tag team and not as rivals.
#3. The Bloodline vs. The Bloodline at Crown Jewel
The OG Bloodline and The New Bloodline had an unforgettable WarGames match last month. Although their most recent face-off was a good one, their initial clash at Crown Jewel was a bit lackluster.
At Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns reunited with The Usos against Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga. Not only was the match underwhelming, but the entire reunion of Jimmy and Jey, and with Roman felt forced and rushed. At least for WarGames, they had a better foundation with each other.
#2. WWE Women's WarGames Match 2024
Since the Women's WarGames match was introduced to the main roster, not a single one felt flat and it always delivered in every area. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for this year's match.
The match fell flat and it was predictable. It also focused on too many weapons instead of the women wrestling. Still, stars like IYO SKY and Tiffany Stratton stood out with their performances.
#1. The Pride vs. The Final Testament at WrestleMania XL
The Pride and The Final Testament were some of the new factions introduced by WWE and when a feud between them was established, many were intrigued about what would happen. However, their feud was underwhelming and fans quickly wanted it to end. Unfortunately for them, their WrestleMania match didn't help their case.
The Street Fight match wasn't as bad, but it also wasn't good. If anything, many consider Snoop Dogg being the commentator as the highlight of the entire thing along with Bubba Ray's involvement as the Special Guest referee.
