Although title matches are on the card, the match every fan is waiting to see is the ladder match for the titular contract that guarantees them a championship match at any time and any place. The men and women set to compete in this year's ladder match have a chance to join other legendary names, but other stars in the past have made themselves memorable in other aspects.

For this list, we will look at four interesting Money in the Bank ladder match statistics that fans should know.

#4. Most appearances during the Men and Women's Money in the Bank match

The first ever MITB match occurred in 2005 during WrestleMania 21. However, it was only in 2017 when the Women's Money in the Bank was introduced. Due to this, the difference in most appearances between the men's and women's divisions is quite different.

Kofi Kingston and WWE Hall of Famer Kane have the most MITB appearances in the men's division with seven. However, The Big Red Machine has the upper hand as not only did he perform at the inaugural ladder match, but also won the 2010 event, while The New Day member has yet to win the contract.

For the women's division, Natalya and Becky Lynch are tied with five appearances. Although both women were at the inaugural match, which was won by Carmella, both of them have yet to win the contract.

#3. WWE stars with the most & consecutive wins have the same letter of their first name

It's hard to win the Money in the Bank contract, especially with several other superstars also present in the match. However, CM Punk and Carmella were able to do it more than one time.

CM Punk has the most number of MITB wins with two, in 2008 and 2009. Carmella won the inaugural Women's match in 2017 twice after controversy surrounding her first win, wherein people were mad that a man, James Ellsworth, claimed the contract on behalf of his former partner.

#2. The women have a better chance of a successful cash-in

As mentioned earlier, the women's Money in the Bank match was only introduced more than a decade after the men's version. However, this has certainly helped with their statistic.

As of this writing, the men's division has around an 80% success rate in their cash-ins, while the women's division has had a 100% success rate in cash-ins, meaning all female stars have successfully traded their contracts for the title.

#1. Shortest and Longest WWE Money in the Bank holders

There have been different variations on how the Money in the Bank contracts have been cashed in. While others wait months for the right moment and opponent, others do it the same night they won.

Kane will appear in this list again with the shortest time a Money in the Bank men's winner held the contract, as he only held it for 49 minutes. For the women's division, Bayley holds the record with only 1 hour and 25 minutes.

The longest time a male WWE star held the MITB contract is the most recent winner Damian Priest with 281 days. For the women's division, inaugural winner Carmella holds the record with 287 days.
