Paige was seen as one of the biggest stars in the Women's Division before she was tied up in personal issues throughout 2016 and 2017. When Paige made her return to the ring in late 2017, she didn't miss a beat and was able to help Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville find their feet on Raw.
It was merely months later that Paige was forced to miss the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match and a few months later she delivered an emotional speech to state that she had been forced to retire from active competition in WWE because of a recurring neck injury.
