#5 Shouldn’t - Finn Balor
WWE’s inaugural Universal Champion, Finn Balor, will be heading into his second Money in the Bank contract match in back to back years. Last year’s attempt saw him fingertips away from grabbing the briefcase before Braun Strowman managed to overpower him.
Whilst Balor winning this match would probably generate one of the most positive reactions in the WWE Universe, there is one fundamental reason why he may not be a suitable choice at the moment.
Balor is the only wrestler going into this match with a championship already around his waist, and while the Intercontinental Championship isn’t one of the primary Championships that the Money in the Bank Contract is used for, the fact remains that he is still a champion at the moment.
With so many talented wrestlers and so few spots at the top, it would be somewhat unfair for one wrestler to hold a Championship and the Money in the Bank contract simultaneously, whilst the other seven wrestlers have nothing.
