2024 was a big year for WWE, especially with the new management behind the scenes. Although improvements in the product have been noticed, there's still room for better development in the women's division.

Several female superstars have delivered some memorable moments and created some big stars in 2024. There was the betrayal of Damage CTRL to Bayley, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan's feud, Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax's notable performances, and much more. Although there were a lot of positives in the women's division, there were also some stars that WWE should have worked on better this year.

For this list, we will look at four female WWE stars who deserved better.

#4. Bianca Belair didn't have the best 2024

Bianca Belair is one of the most notable superstars of professional wrestling today. She is athletic, connects well with the crowd, and has an overall great character. However, many can agree that 2024 wasn't her year.

This year, she wasn't given any memorable feuds and moments as a singles star, but her continuous work as a babyface has grown stale. The EST of WWE was also in a tag team with Jade Cargill, although both have won the Women's Tag Team titles, they aren't truly the most captivating as a duo.

#3. Many expected Lyra Valkyria to have a better WWE main roster run

Lyra Valkyria joined the main roster as part of this year's brand draft and many expected her to be successful on RAW, much like how Tiffany Stratton is now on SmackDown. However, her success at NXT didn't continue on the Monday show.

The former NXT Women's Champion wasn't involved in any notable feuds and although she was placed in the title picture, Money in the Bank, and Queen of the Ring, she was unsuccessful in all of them. Also, she isn't featured regularly on the red brand.

#2. Shayna Baszler didn't have a successful 2024

Shayna Baszler is arguably one of the most dominant and successful female stars who came out from Triple H's NXT 2.0. Unfortunately, this push slowed when she joined the main roster, and it didn't pick up this year.

Shayna was paired up this year with Zoey Stark and later with Sonya Deville to form Pure Fusion Collective. Unfortunately, this didn't help them elevate their status on the Stamford-based promotion.

#1. Liv Morgan deserves a better championship run

Liv Morgan arguably had one of the best WWE runs after returning earlier this year. She sidelined Rhea Ripley and captured her Women's World Championship, replaced The Eradicator in The Judgment Day, stole Dominik Mysterio, and now even has Raquel Rodriguez to watch her back. Still, the company could have handled her much better.

Morgan didn't have many challengers aside from Rhea and most of the feud revolved around both of them only. Liv wasn't given a chance to prove herself as a champion since most of her finishes with Ripley weren't done cleanly. If anything, being a champion belittled her as a wrestler and only elevated Rhea's.
