It's safe to say that Cody Rhodes has his work cut out for him at WWE Crown Jewel. After all, he is taking on one of the toughest champions of all time in Gunther. The Ring General is a force to be reckoned with, and The American Nightmare will learn that in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, if he is lucky, he could be handed a crucial advantage thanks to a 42-year-old superstar.

Gunther was paid a visit by a former rival this week on RAW. That rival happens to be the 42-year-old star who could give Cody Rhodes the advantage at Crown Jewel, Damian Priest. The former World Heavyweight Champion entered The Ring General's locker room to give him a message, informing him that he plans on taking the title back. Now, you might be wondering what this has to do with Rhodes. Well, all you have to do is pay attention to exactly what The Archer of Infamy said.

Entering the locker room, Damian Priest told Gunther that he wasn't there to pick a fight. To paraphrase what he said, he made it clear that no one would "smack" him in his locker room, at least not yet. Well, this could suggest that a beatdown at the hands of Priest is in Gunther's future. So why not at Crown Jewel? Perhaps the 42-year-old could storm into the World Heavyweight Champion's locker room on November 2, 2024, and lay him out for something outrageous he says in the coming weeks.

This would definitely give Cody Rhodes an unexpected advantage. It certainly would add an extra element to their rivalry. But as things stand this is nothing more than mere speculation. We will just have to wait and see how things unfold.

Gunther has a few choice words for Cody Rhodes on RAW

Both Gunther and Cody Rhodes will be vying it out at Crown Jewel for one thing and one thing only. The aim of the game is to become the first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Champion. Given the importance of the title, the two have had a few confrontations over the last few weeks, but this week on RAW, although they didn't meet face-to-face, The Ring General had something to say.

Speaking to Cathy Kelley, the 37-year-old employed his usual tactic of ridiculing his opponent. While he acknowledged Rhodes as a great champion, he also called him a drama queen. He believes it's typical of Rhodes to try to garner the support of the WWE Universe by making things personal and bringing his family into this.

Well if it wasn't personal before, it certainly is now. It all goes down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fans will be eager to see who leaves the ring as the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion.
