The latest edition of SmackDown was not a night to remember for Kevin Owens as he ended up suffering a beatdown at the hands of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Even though Owens emerged triumphant over both superstars in a Triple-Threat Match, Theory and Waller launched an attack on him after the match, unable to withstand their loss.
In the wake of the ongoing conundrum, A-Town Down Under issued a challenge to The Prizefighter to face them in a tag team match next week on SmackDown. With KO having no tag team partner, a legendary 44-year-old superstar could make a surprise return and team up with him. The name in question is none other than Randy Orton.
The Viper has wrapped up his program with Gunther on RAW and he seems to be gearing up for a blockbuster return to the blue brand. With the upcoming edition of the show being the Season Premiere of SmackDown on the USA Network, WWE is set to fire on all cylinders to make it a star-studded show, packing it with thrilling surprises and spectacular matches.
Therefore, next week's SmackDown seems to be the perfect stage for Orton's homecoming. The possibility of it happening is quite good, as his presence will add grandeur to the show. Moreover, with him sharing a good bond with Kevin Owens of late, it will make sense for him to return as the latter's tag team partner against A-Town Down Under.

While the chances of it happening are quite high, this is just speculation at this point. It will be interesting to see what Owens has in store for his tag team match next week.
Kevin Owens may be getting prepared for huge match at Bad Blood
Although Kevin Owens is currently involved in a rigmarole with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, he could wrap this up quickly and move towards bigger things. With WWE's Bad Blood Premium Live Event just a month away, the former Universal Champion is seemingly getting ready for a huge match.
In a shocking turn of events, Kevin Owens could go right after Cody Rhodes and resume his feud with the latter. However, things may be different this time, as his pursuit of the Undisputed WWE Championship could lead to him treading on a different path, a path where friendship turns into a bitter rivalry.
Just as The American Nightmare wraps up his feud with Solo Sikoa next week, The Prizefighter could turn his back on Cody Rhodes. With fierce determination and hunger to capture gold again, Owens could challenge the Undisputed WWE Champion to another match at Bad Blood.
While this is just speculation at this point, the prospect of it happening is quite good, as Kevin Owens seems to have unfinished business with The American Nightmare.
