Mercedes Martinez has been making waves in NXT over the past few months but is perhaps best remembered by the WWE Universe as the second woman in RETRIBUTION.

Martinez requested that she could return to NXT rather than be promoted as a member of the group and has since been able to pick up where she left off on the black and gold brand.

Martinez has only been part of WWE since the beginning of 2020 when she finally signed a contract after two decades of wrestling on the Independent Circuit. Martinez was also part of the Mae Young Classic back in 2017 where she made it through to the semi-finals before being defeated by Shayna Baszler.

Martinez then took part in the second Mae Young Classic the following year, but this time she was defeated in the second round.

Despite only being in WWE for around a year, Martinez is seen as a wrestling veteran and definitely someone that Triple H is happy to have in the NXT locker room to help the women who are new to the business.
