Despite being just days removed from Fyter Fest, we are just weeks away from Fight for the Fallen in Jacksonville, and despite only 4 matches on the card so far, it looks like it's going to be great. Unlike the past 2 shows, it looks like we'll see plenty of singles matches, and given the star power that will be on hand, this one will be just as good, if not better than Fyter Fest.
The company still may be quite new, but they've got a fantastic roster, and in order to not over-expose anyone, fans would love to see some new talent showcased at this show.
So without further ado, sit back and read along as we look to July 13th and AEW's third show: Fight for the Fallen and talk about 5 new faces fans would love to see showcased on that night.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#5 Bea Priestley
Just two shows in, AEW looks to have brought together a very solid women's division, but one star whom fans have not yet seen is New Zealand's, Bea Priestley. She's currently doing incredible work in Stardom over in Japan, and while she isn't a big name among the casual fanbase, it will only take one night for her to win you over.
Fyter Fest seemed like the best place to debut her, as her Mortal Kombat inspirations would have gone over well, but overall, she'll win the crowd over no matter what. Playing a gritty babyface or a cocky heel, Priestley excels in either role and with so many potential opponents for her to face, she'll be a force to be reckoned with.
We'll talk about another top female later on in this piece, and it makes sense for both women to feature against each other on this night, as it will truly show just how deep AEW's roster truly is.
#4 Shawn Spears
The former Tye Dillinger made his AEW debut in the Casino Battle Royale back in May and followed that up by shocking the world at Fyter Fest, attacking his friend Cody. Given what we all remember from Spears back in WWE, this brutal side of him was a very refreshing change of pace, and at Fight for the Fallen, we want to see how this manifests inside the squared circle.
It seems the two former friends are on the collision course for All Out in August, and given his new personality, an opponent like Jungle Boy would be perfect for this new, vicious version of Spears. We can certainly expect some sort of retaliation from Cody at this show, and if played right, this rivalry could be huge for AEW heading into All Out.
Ultimately, we know how great Spears is as a character, but now that he's got freedom, it's time for him to show how great he is in the ring, and they need to give him the chance at Fight for the Fallen.
#3 Luchasaurus
While AEW has been criticised for lacking characters, that's far from the truth, as Luchasaurus (the former Judas Devlin in NXT) is one of the most interesting in the world. While you may not expect it when you see him, Luchasaurus is a very deep person, with a Masters Degree, and his partnership with Jungle Boy is perfect for today's wrestling.
We've seen him on both AEW shows so far, but similar to Private Party and Darby Allin from Fyter Fest, we want to see the company delve deeper into the man known as Luchasaurus. While it doesn't have to be a singles bout, just a video about his background and time in the ring will allow new AEW fans to become familiar with him.
It's clear to the fans that his partnership with Jungle Boy is likely what's going to get over the most for Luchasaurus in AEW, but he's a great performer, and he needs to be given a bit of time to show just how good he is.
#2 Sammy Guevara
Sammy Guevara was a big signing for AEW early in the companies history, and after a great match at Double or Nothing with Kip Sabian, he needs to be featured quite a bit more. He's always getting time on Being the Elite, and given the time they've put into his character, it's clear that Guevara is going to be one of the top heels in the company going forward.
Guevara simply has it all, and he knows it, and with all these gifts, it's only a matter of time until he takes over AEW, and a singles bout with anyone at Fight for the Fallen will be must-see. With guys like Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, Jimmy Havoc and so many more potential opponents for Guevara, it just makes too much sense for him to be left off another All Elite Wrestling card.
Despite being a detestable heel, Guevara's jaw-dropping aerial arsenal will impress the crowd in Jacksonville, and he will always be a contestant for Match of the Night.
#1 Sadie Gibbs
AEW features plenty of established independent stars, but they've also got some new faces, and the one with the most potential of that lot is the UK's Sadie Gibbs. In term of a female performer in wrestling, Gibbs simply has it all: the looks, the attitude, dedication, charisma and most of all, the athleticism that few in the entire world can match.
We've seen hype packages from the company announcing her imminent arrival, but seeing how the use her as a character will be quite fun, as she's certainly a star for the future in AEW. Despite all this raw talent and athleticism, Gibbs is still quite new to wrestling, so she's going to have some growing pains, but with the talent, she has to work with, AEW is the best place for her to grow.
While there's more qualified women to be at the head of the division for the near future, Gibbs is going to be an incredible performer going forward, and a singles exhibition with anyone at Fight for the Fallen would be amazing to see.
