When Malakai Black was a part of WWE, people always wanted him to square off against Roman Reigns. Unfortunately, the company never considered Black a quality opponent for Reigns.

But with his arrival in AEW, Malakai Black has once again become a force to be reckoned with. His in-ring debut against Cody Rhodes turned out to be a one-sided contest where Cody was convincingly annihilated.

This major win sent a clear message to the people that Black is the future star of the industry.

If Reigns and Black ever collide, it would be a treat for fans. Roman's mat-based wrestling style, against with Black's unmatched striking abilities, would result in a highly intense bout. Paul Heyman's view of this rivalry would also be interesting as he is a big admirer of both superstars.

One of the biggest takeaways from Roman Reigns' reign is that not every underdog story has a fairytale ending.

Many fan-favorites like Daniel Bryan and Rey Mysterio tried to dethrone the Tribal Chief, but he ran through them all to retain his status as the 'Head of The Table'. However, things could become serious if a certain AEW star sets his sights on Reigns. We are talking about Darby Allin, a man who never fears anyone.

His daredevilry and willingness to use his body as a weapon is not something Roman can easily overcome. It could be a great David versus Goliath story, where Darby will play the role of an unbreakable underdog against the dominant Roman Reigns.
