If the 'Forbidden Door' between AEW and WWE actually opens, Cody Rhodes vs. Triple H is a no-brainer. Triple H recently stated how he was not available to have a WrestleMania program with AJ Styles. But no matter how busy he is, The Game would not pass up an opportunity for such a huge match.

Cody Rhodes is essentially the new Triple H. He has the power within the show and is always positioned as a top guy, with his extravagant entrances proving the same. He even called out the head of NXT in 2019, smashing a Triple H-style throne during his entrance at Double or Nothing — AEW's first-ever pay-per-view.

The buildup to this match will be epic if it ever becomes possible. The promos between the two promise to be a must-see affair and the prospect of Stephanie McMahon and Brandi Rhodes going at it as well somehow enhances the idea. Cody has come a really long way since the last time he faced off against Triple H in WWE.

This would be way different from the WWE matches between DX and Legacy. The American Nightmare is now a star and can get the best out of Triple H as a heel once again.

Whether there is any true animosity between him and Cody Rhodes, a lot of money would be on the table for a feud and a match.
