#2 Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement to deliver another stellar performance
Shawn Michaels came out of retirement to reunite D-Generation X and aid his friend Triple H in their battle against Kane and Undertaker, the Brothers of Destruction. With Triple H getting injured early on in the match, Shawn had to bear the responsibility of carrying the match. He did exactly that and proved exactly why he is called the Best of the Best to this day.
One would imagine that The Heartbreak Kid would show some signs of ring rust after being out of in-ring competition for almost 8 years but HBK did not seem to miss any step. In fact, he pulled out all the stops and delivered one of the greatest comeback matches of all time.
The match had it all, from Chokeslams and Tombstones to Sweet Chin Musics and Pedigrees and even a classic Shawn Michaels kip-up. The match ended in classic DX style when Michaels hit Kane with a Sweet Chin Music and The Game followed it up with the Pedigree.
#1 Shane McMahon winning the World Cup
In what was one of the most bizarre matches ever, Shane McMahon replaced an injured Miz who had battled his way to the finals of the World Cup to take on Dolph Ziggler. The Miz had to forfeit the match and the referee was on his way to announce Ziggler as the winner but the then-SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon objected and insisted that he be put on the match against Ziggler.
Shane O'Mac hit the Coast to Coast on The Showoff to pick up the win and thereby won the World Cup and earned the moniker of "the best in the world" in one of the most amazing yet absurd sequences of the night.
