#3 Brock Lesnar rocked Braun Strowman for real at Royal Rumble 2018

While wrestling may be scripted, the action in the ring is very much real and takes years of training to perform safely. During the 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, three of the company's biggest men, including Braun Strowman, entered the ring in a WWE Universal Championship match.

With Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman and Kane in the ring, things were expected to get extremely physical. However, a stiff kick from Strowman to Lesnar annoyed "The Beast", who responded with a very real punch.

Braun Strowman was visibly stunned by the punch and it took him a few seconds to get back in his senses. While one would expect Lesnar to be very unhappy with the Superstar following the match, Strowman revealed both men were completely cool with each other afterwards.

Talking to Wrestling Travel on behalf of talkSPORT, Braun Strowman revealed the atmosphere backstage after the two men rocked each other for real during the match.

“We laughed about it afterwards. It is what it is. We got to the back and I said ‘Hey, my bad’ and he said the same thing and we went about our business. We’re both grown-ups, we both knew what we were getting into and at the end of the day, we’re both very dominant males and neither of us wanted to give in an inch, so in the end we took an inch from each other.”

This shows that the Superstars share a mutual respect for each other and the sport. Even though things can get ugly inside the ring at times, they know how to respond and behave outside of it.
