#1 Disappearing from television
Maybe the loss to Goldberg was the beginning of a "goodbye for now" storyline. While that might sound a bit ridiculous, especially since the WWE Universe has become enthralled with The Fiend and want him back as soon as possible, why can't he disappear for a little while? He no longer has a championship that needs to be defended at WrestleMania, and the card is already set to be incredibly stacked without The Fiend, so he could probably take a quick hiatus and come back after WrestleMania to begin his tour of destruction again.
Some people might say that The Fiend is irrelevant now due to the nature of his loss, but that simply isn't the case at all. If nothing else, in taking the Universal Title and The Fiend's streak away from him, they have effectively released his stranglehold on Friday Night SmackDown's title picture, which frees the character to explore many different avenues that being champion may have kept him from delving into.
The Fiend could come back at any time and strike. It doesn't have to be this week on Friday Night SmackDown, or March 8th at the Elimination Chamber PPV or even WrestleMania 36. WWE can let it simmer a bit. The point is that The Fiend has been raised to an extremely high level of stardom, and it means that he doesn't have to be involved on a weekly basis, because his presence is always looming. Being absent from TV for a little while would make his first appearance after his shocking defeat something special.
