When the two were starting up their careers, in WWE or WCW respectively, no one could have known what would become of either Hardy or Styles. Hardy had the opportunity to perform on a big stage earlier.

Fans became fully aware of his being a daredevil that would take incredible risks against guys like Edge, Christian, and the Dudley Boyz. On the other hand, it wasn't until 2002 that Styles began to show how phenomenal he was.

It wasn't until recently that it became possible for these two men to face one another in WWE. Both men are active parts of the Smackdown Live roster, with Hardy as the former United States champion and Styles as the WWE champion.

These two would match up well with one another since they both include risk-taking as a major part of their in-ring arsenal, and Styles certainly demonstrates a variety of techniques in the ring. A program with, potentially, both titles on the line would be a terrific one to see.
