NXT's Best Heel

There is one man in NXT right now, who is possibly the most hated heel in the company by far. It is Tommaso Ciampa. It was not always like this, with Ciampa and Gargano's team of DIY being a fan favorite team. They went on to compete for the NXT Tag Titles and were a huge crowd favorite. After a loss to the Authors of Pain, however, everything changed.

Ciampa was injured, and leaving, with the crowd sad to see that their favorite team would not be together for the next few months. Ciampa suddenly turned on Gargano and attacked him in a segment that no one had expected. DIY was well and truly broken up and Gargano was so obviously heartbroken by the incident that the crowd felt deeply for him. Ciampa was hated then, but he was going to be off television recovering from his injury.

Over the next few months, the fans saw Gargano trying to get over Ciampa and compete. It looked like he had finally achieved it at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia. He had almost beaten Almas but somehow was unable to come up with the win after a truly remarkable performance. He was then ambushed near the entrance by Ciampa with the crutch in a shocking return. Gargano also lost against Ciampa at NXT Takeover Chicago.

Ciampa is the most hated heel on the entire NXT roster.
