Kevin Owens takes out Sami Zayn

The man who had lit up Ring of Honor rings as Kevin Steen made his debut for WWE in NXT on December 11, 2014 at NXT TakeOver: REvolution.

He quickly defeated CJ Parker in his debut match before re-appearing at the end of the show, to ostensibly congratulate his best friend, Sami Zayn on defeating Neville to win the NXT Championship.

Owens, in a stunning move, turned on his friend, pushing him down and sickeningly power bombing him onto the ring apron.

The new Champion was down and needed medical attention as the show went off the air whilst Owens stood tall.

It was an impressive signal of intent from Owens who very quickly began to ascend the ladder.
