The current Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn, has always been atop WWE when it comes to mic abilities. Whether he was a never-say-die babyface or a smug heel, Zayn always entertains when he has a microphone in his hands.
His heel runs have actually been better than his face runs. He uses his superior promo skills to come across as an annoying, smug villain. Like Daniel Bryan, however, some of what Zayn says is true. There may not be an outright conspiracy against the Great Liberator, but he hasn't always been booked favorably.

Zayn's recent interactions with Brock Lesnar are indicative of his situational adaptability. If he isn't teaching promo classes at the WWE PC, he should be. Stars of tomorrow could learn a lot from Zayn.
#1 Kevin Owens' ability to adapt in WWE has been helped by his promo abilities
Similar to Zayn, Kevin Owens maintains the same strong promo ability, whether he is a face or a heel. When he debuted as a heel, he made you hate him with his words, and that's what good heels do.
When he turned face to battle Shane McMahon, his promos were believable because of the passion he used in cutting them. Owens also echoed what a lot of fans were thinking at the time.
During this current heel run, his backstage interactions with Seth Rollins, Kevin Patrick, and others have just proven his ability even more. Owens is one of the best promo workers in pro wrestling. It's a good thing the World Wrestling Entertainment secured his services for the next few years.
