For years, Breezango made the WWE Universe laugh. Over time, they became a team that fans wanted to see achieve actual in-ring success. Though they were funny and great in the ring, they'd never captured WWE gold as a team.
That was until they moved to NXT. Tyler Breeze began working on NXT and 205 Live in 2019 while Fandango was out with an injury. Breezango reunited when The Forgotten Sons attacked Tyler Breeze, leading to the return of Fandango.
Before they could get going again, Fandango was out with another injury, this time needing Tommy John surgery to repair his shoulder. When Dango made his return in 2020, NXT weren't hesitant about sending Breezango to the top of the NXT Tag Division.
They knocked off Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, as well as The Undisputed Era, in a triple threat tag team match to determine the new number one contenders.

Though they failed to win the titles the first time, another triple threat number one contenders match saw Breezango best Legado Del Fantasma and Lorcan and Burch at NXT TakeOver: XXX.
Then on August 26th, Breezango defeated Imperium's Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel to finally capture tag team gold.
