The 2010 WrestleMania season was primarily built around Shawn Michaels' obsession to break the Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak. Michaels tried to win the 2010 Royal Rumble but failed. Thus, in order to challenge the Undertaker, he needed to give the deadman a reason.

At Elimination Chamber 2010, The Undertaker had to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho, CM Punk, John Morrison, R-Truth, and Rey Mysterio. R-Truth, Punk, Mysterio, and Morrison were eliminated in quick succession. Everyone was ready for an Undertaker victory when suddenly Shawn Michaels came to crash the party. The idea of the Elimination Chamber is to lock the members inside the chamber so that no one can interfere. However, Michaels hid inside the chamber, under the "steel" floor. When Undertaker was getting ready to deliver the final blow to Jericho, the Heart Break Kid popped up to the ring and gave a Sweet Chin Music to Taker. Chris Jericho ended the night as the World Heavyweight champion.
