This match almost didn't happen, and it wasn't until around January of 2011 that it was penciled in. Triple H had been planned for a 'King of Kings' vs 'King of The Ring' WrestleMania 26 rematch with Sheamus, while Taker's previous plans for the evening were not known. It was apparently Triple H and The Undertaker who decided their match needed to happen after discovering the even had no truly special matches scheduled.

The build up was pretty good, especially the night both men returned to TV where Triple H's unannounced return stole the thunder of The Undertaker's. The fans were into this one before the bell even rang. It was one of those matches where they went crazy the whole match through. The back and forth between them came in droves, with it seemingly like neither man ever had the upper hand.

We had a lot of weapon use, finishing moves and several reversals, most notably a Chokeslam-turned-Pedigree reversal through the announce table. As everyone expected, The Undertaker came out on top with the Tombstone.
