#2 Triple H vs. The Undertaker - WrestleMania X-7
With three WrestleMania matches to have happened between The Undertaker and Triple H, I have always found this one to not just be underrated, but better than the Street Fight between them at WrestleMania 27.
This is also a pretty historic match, as it is the first WrestleMania match of The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania streak to actually be a highly entertaining match.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Up until this, the majority of his streak matches were, in The Undertaker's own words, 'some stinkers'. This was the one to turn everything around.
The match started with the two fighting outside of the ring with Triple H quickly being put through the Spanish announcer's table.
The two brawled outside the ring, through the crowd, and into the technical area, the two fought to the top of the scaffolding, Triple H used a steel chair to attack Undertaker's legs, but Undertaker retaliated with a Chokeslam off the scaffolding, followed by a diving elbow drop.
A failed Tombstone and Pedigree later, Taker pinned Triple H after the Last Ride for the win. I like to look at this match as being a heavily underrated one, not just in terms of the classics Triple H and The Undertaker have had since, especially at WrestleMania, but because this took place at WrestleMania X-7, which is often regarded as the best WWE event of all time.
This match had to compete with a technical classic between Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, a crazy but highly entertaining Street Fight between Vince and Shane McMahon, and the TLC II with Edge and Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz, and The Rock vs. Steve Austin main event, both of which were 10/10, and then the future more hyped Triple H vs. Undertaker matches, so it is easy to see how it became lost in the shuffle of excellent matches.
