The WWE Championship reign of Bobby Lashley will probably be best remembered for The All Mighty's rivalry with former champion Drew McIntyre.

Lashley and McIntyre's final meeting for the title came at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event in June.

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

After numerous successful defenses against McIntyre, Lashley agreed to face The Scottish Warrior one more time with the title on the line inside Hell in a Cell.

However, should Drew McIntyre lose, he wouldn't be able to challenge for the championship again whilst The All Mighty was champion.

During the Hell in a Cell match the referee was knocked down. This meant the Hell in a Cell door was opened to allow a new official to enter the match. MVP utilized this opportunity to enter The Devil's Playground.

As Drew McIntyre set up to hit his Claymore Kick finisher, MVP grabbed the leg of the former WWE Champion. This gave Lashley the opportunity to utilize a school boy roll up and retain his championship.

Arguably Bobby Lashley's most impressive Championship defense came on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania 37 Night One.

The event marked the first time that WWE Superstars had performed in front of live members of the WWE Universe since the pandemic started.

The first match to take place in front of a live crowd was Lashley and McIntyre squaring off for the WWE Championship.

Drew McIntyre seemingly had the match won as he was setting up to hit the Claymore Kick on the All Mighty. However, MVP, at ringside, distracted the former WWE Champion.

This allowed the leader of The Hurt Business to lock in The Hurt Lock submission on McIntyre, forcing the Scottish Warrior to pass out, enabling Lashley to retain the Championship in the process.
