#2. The Shield is one of the greatest trios in WWE history
At Survivor Series 2012, three mysterious men helped CM Punk retain his WWE title against Ryback. The trio was called The Shield, composed of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose.
The three called themselves the Hounds of Justice, who began to assault major stars like John Cena and The Rock. They quickly made a name for themselves as the strongest force in the company. Within one year, all three members had titles around their waists.

They went on to defeat prominent teams like The Brothers of Destruction and Evolution before Seth Rollins betrayed his stablemates to join Triple H. After the faction was disbanded, all three went on to become Grand Slam Champions and had amazing rivalries together.
As of now, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are important assets of the company while Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley) has become one of the most important names in AEW.
#1. The New Day is among the greatest trios in WWE history
The New Day is arguably the most-loved trio of all time, with Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods as its members. They have been together for about eight years, the longest any faction has remained together in WWE.
The careers of the three were on a decline when Woods invited Big E and Kingston to join him. They debuted as heels, but soon gained the support of the fans. Together, they went on to become 11-time tag team champions.
As team members, Kingston and Big E became World Champions while Xavier Woods became King of The Ring. The New Day has also won multiple Slammy Awards for its impressive performance and attire.
Even after getting divided due to the brand split, they have managed to get together from time to time. Hopefully, they will become the only trio on this list to never leave each other's side.
