#5. Sami Zayn vs Gunther at WWE WrestleMania XL
Fans have seen a different side of Sami Zayn and Gunther en route to WrestleMania XL. Both men capitalized on their strength and despite being enemies, elevated each other's character well.
Sami showcased his heart and soul, that being underestimated and an underdog can still work in someone's favor. This side of Zayn showed the vulnerabilities of the once-known unconquerable Ring General. Despite losing the Intercontinental Championship at 'Mania, the Austrian star continued to find success by becoming the World Heavyweight Champion.
#4. Cody Rhodes vs. The Rocks stole the show
Although the WrestleMania XL main event surrounds Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship, The American Nightmare was more targeted by The Rock en route to The Grandest Stage of Them All.
After Dwayne Johnson attempted to "steal" Cody's spot at WrestleMania against Roman, fans made enough noise to put back Rhodes against Reigns. However, this led to the birth of The Final Boss, whose mission was to make Cody's Road to WWE WrestleMania as hard and stressful as possible. Their feud consisted of Dwayne conducting a Rock concert, insulting Cody's family and fans, and even beating Rhodes backstage even if the cameras stopped rolling.
#3. The OG Bloodline vs. The New Bloodline
Many thought that The Bloodline's storyline wouldn't be that interesting anymore after Roman dropped the Undisputed WWE title to Cody at WrestleMania, but that couldn't be any more wrong. If anything, everything was taken up a notch following The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Solo Sikoa took over The Bloodline after Reigns' absence and brought in The Tongans and Jacob Fatu for the New Bloodline. After Roman's return, the OG Bloodline also gradually reunited, which culminated in an exciting OG vs New Bloodline at WarGames.
#2. Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan won't be ending anytime soon
Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan's feud was about many aspects. At first, it was personal, since both women used to be partners until The Eradicator betrayed Morgan and injured her.
When Liv returned, not only did she injure Rhea and write her off from television, but also took her spot at The Judgment Day and her on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio. Even if Ripley is now outnumbered and alone, she remains resilient and continues to stand her own against Liv. It will be interesting to see who will eventually come out on top.
#1. Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk was WWE's top rivalry of 2024
Drew McIntyre vs CM Punk wasn't initially on the cards for WWE, but the company and the superstars managed to make do with what they had. After Punk was injured at the Royal Rumble, instead of having him sit on the sidelines, he engaged in a heated and personal feud against The Scottish Warrior.
This feud showcased why Punk is considered The Best in the World and proved himself as a top star not just in the mic and the ring, but also in commentary. As for Drew, he gained many fans from this feud for showing his natural charisma on the mic and his entertaining character as a heel.
