#1 Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston

Five years after he was given the opportunity to enjoy his time at the top of the food chain, it was Daniel Bryan's turn to do the favor for someone who was challenging his popularity from 2014 -- a surprising challenger in perennial mid-card star, Kofi Kingston.

An Iron Man performance in a gauntlet match, that he was not even supposed to be a part of, started a wave of support for Kingston from the fans as they demanded a first one-on-one World Title opportunity for their beloved Superstar at WrestleMania.

Taking a whole new turn following Kofi's gutsy defeat at the hands of Bryan at Elimination Chamber, the wild support from the fans not only forced WWE to change their existing 'Mania plans for Bryan but also brought the best underdog story in years.

In what was easily the best build-up for any WrestleMania match this year, Kofi and his New Day stablemates Big E and Xavier Woods fought through all the hurdles laid by Mr. McMahon and Daniel Bryan to earn a title shot for the high flyer at Mania.

On a night that featured the first-ever Women's main event in Mania history, it was the story of Kingston's journey that took the center stage. KofiMania came to life as Kofi defeated Bryan in one of the best 'Mania World Title matches in recent history to become the first African-born WWE Champion.

In a year that was highly deficient of memorable feuds, WWE gave the fans a rivalry that will forever be etched in the minds of the fans.
