#1 Team WWE vs. The Alliance at WWE Survivor Series 2001
If there was a time in WWE where survival was the only thing that mattered, it would be during the Invasion storyline.
In early 2001, Vince McMahon bought his competition, WCW. After both WCW and ECW went out of business, the Invasion storyline started. The clash between WWE and The Alliance (WCW and ECW) culminated in a five-on-five classic Survivor Series Match.

The Alliance was represented by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Shane McMahon, Rob Van Dam, and Booker T. Team WWE was led by The Rock, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Kane and The Big Show. Whichever team won, the losing team's show would have to end.
After a long period of eliminations and betrayals, the match ended with two of the biggest stars, Rock and Austin. The match would come to an end when Kurt Angle, whom fans believed would save Austin, instead turned on Stone Cold.
Angle hit Austin with the WWE Championship, giving Rock the chance to land a Rock Bottom on Austin and pick up the victory.
Survivor Series 2001 not only signified the dominance of WWE, but it would also be the end of the Invasion angle that lasted through the majority of 2001.
